Director of Advancement
Tammie Follett
Tammie Follett, J.D./M.B.A., is the Director of Advancement at Lawyers Without Borders (LWOB), where she is responsible for guiding the organization’s strategic growth, managing partnerships, and leading donor relations and development efforts.
Prior to joining LWOB, Tammie had a distinguished career at Thomson Reuters, where she held the role of Director of Community Relations. In this position, she developed and maintained strong relationships with a diverse range of entities, including national and international organizations, corporations, law firms, community groups, and nonprofits. Tammie has earned a reputation as a highly effective leader, skilled networker, and connector.
Tammie brings a wealth of nonprofit experience, having served with numerous organizations throughout her career. As a Founding Board Member of TeamWomen, she led the Annual Leadership Conference for ten years and mentors over 15 mentees within the organization. Her board involvement with Books For Africa and Africa Classroom Connection ignited her passion for education and literacy, which led to her role as Executive Director of the Literacy Matters Foundation from 2020 to 2021. Tammie has also devoted her time and leadership to a variety of other nonprofits, including the United Nations Association Minnesota, Minnesota Women Lawyers, SPARK-Y, Tubman, Jeremiah Program, Urban League Twin Cities, and the Optimist Club of St. Paul.
